Here is a complete guide to illustrate how you could set up a PayTM account and use it to pay for your facebook adverts.

Setting up a PayTM account

You can skip this step if you already have a PayTM account with cash loaded in it.

Requirements:

1. A mobile phone (not necessary)

2. PayTM app (else you can hit paytm.com on your PC)

3. Any Indian Debit card to load money

Step 1: Downloading Paytm

Download and install PayTM app directly from the playstore. (Though you can create an account and add money using your PC too, but let's follow the procedure through mobile)

Step 2: Creating an account

After you have PayTM in your smartphone, create an account and verify using the registered phone number.

Step 3: Adding money to your PayTM account

After you're logged in to your PayTM account, click on Add Money icon on the top.

Click on 'Add Money'

In the following screen, enter the amount you wish to add to your PayTM wallet.

Next, choose the payment mode. Preferably, you can add money through any Indian debit card. Enter the details and complete the payment procedure to have the money in your wallet. PayTM charges no extra money to load cash in your wallet.

NOW, your PayTM account is all set to pay for your facebook adverts.

Decide how you're going to place the adverts. Facebook offers wide range of ways to place ads including website hits, boost post, page likes, etc.

Requirements:

1. A number verified facebook account. (It is not necessary that your facebook and paytm number should match)

2. A PayTM account with money in it. (Already made)

Navigate to Adverts Manager (Settings > Payments > Adverts Billing)

This should open a new page. Click on Add Money.

A new window should pop up. Select PayTM wallet.

On the following window, put the amount you want to add and Review the payment. (Make Payment)

Click on Continue.

A new tab should open up leading to PayTM's official website. Sign in to your PayTM account using your registered mobile number and confirm the payment.

AND YOU JUST ADDED MONEY TO YOUR ADVERTS PREPAID BALANCE WITHOUT USING A CREDIT CARD!

You may use this balance to place ads for website hits, boost post, etc.

NOTE: As of July 21, 2016, you can't add money using Paytm through your mobile phone. The method works only on PC.
